Creating passion for physical education @ ARR SLV through “Annual Sports Day 2023” had a big impact on the people of Kumbakonam. The chief guest, Mr. V. Asokan, Deputy Superindent of Police, and the Guest of Honour, Mrs. S. Dhanalakshmi, Centre Incharge and Senior Volley ball coach, Sai Training Centre, Mayiladuthurai were honoured by the crews. The heartwarming beauty of the sports ground decorated with colourful flags and balloons turned the audience as cheerful faces full of enthusiasm. The spirit of the day was stirred up by the march past of four houses Knights, Trojan, Samurai and Spartans followed by wonderful performances like dance by tiny tots of KG, 100 m relay, martial arts like karate, silambam and other display events bamboo dance, hoops, dumbbell’s etc. Malkamb and human pyramid performed by the children proved how strong in their mental ability. Prizes were given to parents for participating and winning in events conducted for them. Overall champion team was awarded with trophy by the dignitaries. Best March past team was also awarded with trophy. The day ended with sportsmanship and happiness filled in air.
